The greatest legacy of the Drew Carey Show, now that he is hosting The Price Is Right, was the Ian Hunter song chosen for the title opener. Almost uncontrollably, you find yourself fist pumping yelling CLEVELAND ROCKS by the end of the show's opening! There is more to Cleveland though. Situated on Lake Erie, Cleveland is an eclectic home for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with plenty of arts and entertainment. Thanks to eateries like Lolo, the dining scene is none to shabby either. Most locals are happier that the once dormant sports scene is finally on the uptick since the basketball team drafted the hometown phenom Lebron James.
Lebron's contract ends this year prompting speculation on a scale normally reserved for Las Vegas. Will he stay or will he be swayed to join his friend Jay-Z in New York? Not willing to wait idly by the sidelines, HotCards, a local printing and design firm helped launch a Keep Lebron campaign. The campaign features the slogan "Born here. Raised here. Plays here. Stays here." is displayed prominently on a large format sign in downtown Cleveland. For those not traveling to Cleveland any time soon, you can see the wares at the companion website.
The Lebron campaign is just one way in which Hotcards supports community involvement both locally and globally. The company built upon helping individuals and organizations, like artists and nonprofits without huge budgets, create print marketing materials is fostering their continued growth online. Anne Stewart, online managing editor for Hotcards, has been actively supporting the printing and design communities through several social media platforms.
Although Hotcards uses the social titans like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, the true gem is found from reading their hosted blogs. The writing is engaging, entertaining, and informative which is a direct reflection of Anne.
This week Anne will share with us how Hotcards is cultivating their current customer base and engaging the larger print and design communities through their online efforts.
