Modern Thinking for Modern Postcard

Did you know that CES, the annual electronics show currently going on in Las Vegas, has around 2,500 exhibitors? Compare this with Print 09 which saw a roughly 680 exhibitors and you can begin to picture the difference in size.

Did you also know that out of the 2,500 exhibitors, there is only one printing company? It is Modern Postcard, located in Carlsbad, California. The company started printing postcards in 1976 but has since expanded into other offerings including variable data printing and pURLs.

I imagine that the show provides ample B2B opportunities. After all consumer electronics companies need to create promotional campaigns that include direct mail and it appears that Modern Postcard, at minimum, has the show floor cornered.

Thanks for the mention! Our company has exhibited at CES for several years, and you’re right, consumer electronics companies need to market themselves like all consumer goods companies do. Modern has great relationships with many of the exhibitors and attendees, and each year we’re excited to find new, up and coming companies that need our marketing expertise and services to help them bring exciting new technologies to market. Given the slew of new products and technologies we’re seeing at the show, this year looks to hold lots of promise!

    Fred,
Thank you for commenting on the value Modern Postcard finds in attending CES. I think more printers should look outside traditional avenues for more marketing and business opportunities.
