In the November issue of Money Magazine, the top 50 jobs are ranked. The rankings include the requisite criteria such as pay and growth rate but also extend into quality-of-life metrics including flexibility, stress level, benefit to society, and personal satisfaction. Not surprisingly due to the aging population, eight of the top 20 jobs are in the medical care industry.
For those in the graphic arts industry not interested in gurneys and scalpels, a clear trend emerges. Start talking about solutions instead of just printing. Four of the top 50 jobs included some aspect of marketing which would explain our industries push to align businesses and services within the realm of a marketing service provider.
